Account & data deletion
Delete your account.
You can delete your AshGrid account and the data associated with it at any time. Deletion is available directly in the app, and by email if you no longer have the app installed. You do not need to give a reason either way.
In the app — immediate
- Open AshGrid and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Request account deletion.
- Type
DELETEto confirm. The typed confirmation exists because this is irreversible.
The request takes effect immediately: your account stops working and deletion of stored data begins.
By email — if you no longer have the app
Write to privacy@ashgrid.co from the email address on the account, with the subject line Delete my account. We verify the request against the account email and confirm when deletion is complete. No account credentials are ever requested by email.
What is deleted, and when
Within 30 days of a deletion request, we delete your account credentials, profile, observations (experiments, check-ins, notes, results), community content, wearable data, and support correspondence. The full per-category schedule is in the privacy policy, §7–8. A small number of records are retained longer because the law requires us to be able to demonstrate them:

Deletion is permanent. There is no recovery window and no "undelete". If you want a copy of your data first, use Export my data on the Profile tab before deleting — the export hands you a complete JSON file of everything the account holds.
